As my avatar attests, I wear glasses. Never did try contacts. Never liked the idea of putting those tiny things right onto my eye. Nor was I impressed by the ease with which I saw friends’ contacts fall out and get lost. Or slip and get stuck under the lid. Glasses are fine, and- as I’m getting older, I need them more now for reading (and drawing comics) than I did before
I got a better price at the eye center I’m going to now. They have bargain frames that come for next to nothing with the lenses. Most of the designer frames are made by the same company anyway, and then sold under different names. Any idea of competitive prices is an illusion. A monopoly controls the pricing.
I wear sweats- loose fitting and comfortable. I don’t like anything with buttons. And to say " I always found it strange to dress for sleep." is a very modern viewpoint, We can afford to take that view now. Many years ago, without central heating in homes, people who did not live in year round warm climates had a lot of work to do just to stay warm at night. So obviously, wearing something was essential. One of the most important parts was covering the head, from which the greatest amount of body heat could be lost. Sleeping caps have all but disappeared- again, because now we can do that without thinking. So it’s not the least bit strange. It’s a tradition born of necessity that has simply held on.

They never do … and even worse when they try to keep up the comics to the movies afterwards. Goddamn Ultimate Universe. :(

I’ve read the current GotG and I like it but I prefer the 90s team set in the future.

Don’t worry, Roy, it won’t be done by the people who did the Green Lantern movie.

I take it you haven’t lived in a cold climate. Or an old house with poor, or little, insulation.
