We had a pair of sisters like this, about 7 and 9, living next door. once they knocked on a neighbor’s door and asked for a soft drink, explaining their mom didn’t allow them to have soda. Another time, our son knocked on the front door with them and a few other kids asking for a snack for everyone. When I explained it was almost our dinnertime, the older girl piped up from the back, “How about us. It’s not close to our dinnertime.” I then explained we weren’t a 7-11 and slowly closed the door. :-D
