We were watching “Who’s the boss” one night on TV when one of the kids asked “Who’s the boss here?”. I jumped up and said “I am”. Then turned around and looked at my wife and said “If that’s OK with you”.
My wife is the boss. Been married for 44 years. A few years ago she decided that we should move. I said yes dear, and called a real estate agent, sold the house and moved to the new state. When searching for a new house, she picked out the one she wanted. I said yes dear.
My wife is boss in some areas. House for sure. Cooking, some laundry. I do dog laundry. I do finances because she hates it and I do it well. I also am in charge of lawn work, but she chooses outside plants.
Yes dad talks big then checks with wife. Husband and I married for 38 years, I try not to be one sided on decisions, I want his say too, yet he tries to leave to me.

Reminds me of when Harry Truman would call his wife “the boss” and his daughter “the boss’ boss”…
