Wow I didn’t there was more to that classic nursery rhyme! As a children (me, Tink, my brother, our baby cousin and others), we thought it went only as far as “nine ten, a big fat hen”!
Sounds like the full poem is a (probably male-authored) description of girls/daughters by age: 1-2, needs stuff done for them, 3-4, carelessly leave doors open, 5-6, capable of minor manual labor, 7-8, learn detailed work, 9-10, tends to the chicken you keep to lay eggs, 11-12, more advanced manual labor, 13-14, developed and marriage-minded, 15-16, domestic employment, 17-18, getting desperate, 19-20, get her out of the house she’s grown and not our problem anymore.
