Lucky for Avis, the gallons of makeup she seems to slap on with a trowel every morning will hide her embarrassed blushing.

Her French Quisine comes in a carton labeled Swansons.

“Au gratin” is a cooking method. She’s buying pre-cooked food (aka “TV dinners”).

Avis looks like Detorie’s version of “The Scream”!

When she wouldn’t pay Ruthie for yard work, Miss Avis claimed she was on a fixed income.

If we weren’t snobs, all wine would come in boxes. It’s simply a better method of storage. Once you open a bottle of wine, you cannot store it because there is enough air in the bottle to make the wine go bad, even with a cork on. Box wines protect the contents from the air.

Also, corks go bad and ruin the wine in the bottle. Screw tops are much more practical. But we sneer at them because we’re snobs.

Well the kids did tell her, what happened is all on her(really really cheap wine in a carton, Thunderbird?)

Poor old Miss Avis. Things went from bad to worse.

The last and I hope only time I ever fall, was not like Ms. Avis on on her back end, was on my left side, had two dogs with me, did not know what made me fall, I did have scraped arm knee, and then later went to ER hospital, then found out went to the wrong ER, through x-ray that was done arm and knee okay, CT showed different on hip, lower femur fracture, been a month of healing, another 20 days for Advance Orthopedics 2nd x-ray I hope shows fracture healed, my muscles also complaining, I will do in my home physician therapy. It is good Ms. Avis did not get hurt. Plus trying to be off of over the counter pain relievers.
