Don’t drink from the hose. Garden hoses leach toxic chemicals into the water. If you must, then flush it out first.

I know this is true but as a child we drank from the hose all the time and never thought a thing about it. There are times when I wonder how we managed to grow up.

What is considered dangerous now are things that kids had to endure before.@Jon Smith…speaking from experience the water was colder after the water ran a few minutes anyway.
