After getting a Cricket account and a dongle for my lap top, it quickly started giving me a lot of trouble. I had ordered it online, but had to personally return it to a store in a nearby city, about 20 miles away. They claimed it wasn’t compatible with my system, and wanted me to pay a steep fee for an upgrade. I asked to speak to a supervisor, but was told the person who could waive the fee wasn’t there. I told them they WERE going to give me the upgrade, and it WOULD be free. And that I wasn’t leaving until they did. He disappeared into the back for a few minutes, and the person who could waive the fee miraculously appeared.

Got mine 2005, still going strong. Not a smartphone, just a regular cell, and it’s all that I need…
