Ah, it brings to mind the MC Hammer song for The Addams Family……I remember the day I need to borrowA little bit of pepper (for my chicken)Next thing I know coming at meIs a hand with the fingers high-steppin’.Now I try to play it all off,And look like I’m having a ball. But what do I see? A perm with feetStanding about three feet tall? (I’m outta here!)…And BRAVO to TheDOCTOR for his wonderful rendition of the classic theme song! Well done!
Beautiful, guys! Nice tribute to “The Addams Family”! Just as a side note, Ted Cassidy, who played Lurch on that show, also played Thing. In scenes where Lurch and Thing appeared together, the assistant director (whose name escapes me, darn it) played the latter. Cassidy had a hard time playing Thing, since it often required him to wedge all 6’ 9" of himself under tables, shelves, etc.
I am absolutely crazy about this strip anyway, but I must say this is the funniest last panel I have seen in a long time. Rita’s expression is priceless.
The movies (not surprisingly) decided to take advantage of their bigger budget and more advanced SFX. Thing could now be seen scampering across the floor on its fingertips. An odder choice was to have Lurch mute- so there was no “Youuu rannngg?”

I enjoy this strip, but today was one of the few times I’ve burst into uncontrollable laughter at the last panel. Well done.

The new trendoid house color is French Gray. I have 3 houses around me the same color as the Addams Mansion.

Originally Lurch wasn’t supposed to speak, but the first time he uttered “You rang?” they thought it worked so well and decided to keep it in.
