@Tony RubinoCan’t recall doing that, no, but that does rule out the occurance of the incident.

Once, in an impressive state of inebriation not since repeated, I walked into a glass door, which proceeded to smash into a rain of shards right in my face. And they were shards, as this was overseas and the door wasn’t safety glass. And not a scratch on me. A special providence looks after children and drunks.

I’m sorry to say I’ve done that several times. However, its never been a screen door. I’m partial to what I like to call invisi glass. It’s invisible till you crash.

I may have had some problems with glass, not screens and not lately. I’ve had a few run-ins with extra steps (one more step than I expected, or a larger one). I once twisted my ankle taking a flat of seedlings out because there was an additional step. Ever since, I worry when I have to run.

Phantom doors equals surprise encounters! We have three and there are no end to screen events.
