Used to be tele-phone, tele-graph, and tele-vision was the fastest way to spread news…

Guess we’ll have to add “tele-ELLIE”?

The relationship between Phil and the girl is/was completely irrelevant. Elly knows quite well that Phil has no interest in the concept of commitment (at least other than to his independent free lifestyle).

vldazzle: That was just speculation, by the people here. It was never in the strip.

Gossips and rumors always spread fast than our eyes blink. I hope gossips and rumors are good and honest. :-)

They were at Phil’s apartment rehearsing his new composition, “Duo Concertante for Trumpet and Cello in A minor”.

“I think the trumpet came in a bit too soon that time, Phil.”

    “Oh, ok.”

A Presbyterian Minister once told me that if he had information that he want sent out to the whole congregation as fast as possible, there were several women he would give this information ‘in confidence’.

    Worked like a charm.

well at least we know that the dark haired girl is not Georgia. She is a flutist, not a cellist like this dark haired girl.

How many more times does Phil have to tell Elly, or Connie that he’s NOT INTERESTED in Connie, before Elly quits feeding the stalker’s fire? Why is she confused about this again, all of a sudden? (Don’t answer, I’m not really asking. I’m saying.) I have now come to believe that it really isn’t unintentional that she keeps the woman obsessed, because she won’t just come out and say it. Instead she beats around the bush with Connie, and she gossips with everyone else about it. There’s nothing to be confused about. Phil never lead Connie on in any way, but he was a little too polite about it when she stalked him across a continent, and he told Elly three times that I saw, with absolute certainty that he has no interest in Connie. Elly is just so annoying. I don’t think she’s trying to spare Connie’s feelings anymore. It’s her passive aggressive nature, and she’s really not so nice, as we know. I think she’s a little afraid of Connie too. I know I am. : )

What it boils down to is that it doesn’t matter who the girl really was or wasn’t. That’s what happens when you stalk people who keep telling you no, and show up at their house, thousands of miles away, but at least the pipe issue finally got cleared up, lololol! Now we know that Phil KNOWS she purposely stalked him twice in one day.

    ….Where’s that dead horse link?

I don’t really agree with Elly’s comment about keeping her mouth closed. I think life is like a TV show sometimes, where it’s a lot more interesting to watch from the sidelines and see what happens. It’s just not worth it to get involved, because then it starts getting personal and less interesting.

Elly wants to keep things at arm’s length while hugging her friend. Usually results in emotional whiplash.

I know freeholder, that was my point. Here we all are doing it again today, and it sure is fun.

I was just making a joke of it again. Beating the dead horse of beating the dead horse joke from the other day.

Please “lighten up” on Ellie, she is just an average person, not one of you is able to “cast the first stone”.

Hey, this is still yesterday’s comic! Now I’ll have to bait my breath and wait for a new one. Maybe I’ll use a minnow this time, the dew worms obviously didn’t work.

If you go to fborfw.com and look under “Strip Fix” on the top left, it’ll give you today’s strip but no place to comment on it like we can (and do!) here.

BTW: Whatever’s going on with FBorFW today, it isn’t just here. It’s not available on azcentral, uclick, The Houston Chronicle or The Washington Post’s online comic sites either.

I took the advice some of you offered to check FBOFW to read today’s strip. Wow! Now I can’t wait to read the comments it will generate when everyone gets to read it.

This is probably going to astonish you, but very intelligent people who are concerned with world matters read comic strips, feed cats and knit. What they don’t do is - under normal circumstances - is waste their time responding to people who insult them in blogs and on comment pages. Why are you even bothering with them if they are beneath you?

That rather goes for the rest of you who day after day trash Ellie and her friends. I’ve been reading the comments on the Yahoo page and wondering why you visit them if you don’t like them. I avoid real people I can’t stand, and it’s even easier to do with fictional characters.

(Oh, and ribbie149, it’s not “baited”, it’s bated. Look it up. A good vocabulary is something that matters. :)
