To all, I have decided it is time to “throw in the towel”, as the old saying goes. On Friday a threat was made that could possibly affect all of us. I simply cannot allow my dispute over the treatment I have received to cause anyone to lose the opportunity to express themselves. I therefore have come to the conclusion that I will allow those in power to keep me off this board. I do this of my own choosing. It would be a crime if even one person lost the freedom to post due to the deplorable treatment I have received. I would rather allow those who have banished me unfairly to pound their chests and claim victory. To all the friends I have made over the years, Thanks for your unique ways of making me laugh.

I have begun to think I might be banned from this site. Not by the management, but by the pop-up ads, which have taken to breaking the browser I usually view this site with.

Today’s installment: Is there anywhere where there aren’t cameras all over the place? They’re at the warehouse I load up at in the morning, most places I deliver to, even in the company-supplied cell-phone.

Maestro you may have a point about killing your son. He may need it. But first, he’s got some ‘splainin to do. Then, have at it.

They used to bother me too and got *no* responses from GoComics about the ones that were trying to hijack my machine. I’ve found that the combination of Firefox and Adblock Plus (both free) have made this site safe again.

The second to last panel would have worked better without the extremely short arm.

Tracy’s tie is still perfect even though he was thrown fifteen into the air and landed on concrete.

I’ll happily second the sentiment by Ludwig on your contributions and personality back on the “comicspage.com” board … for that’s where you were along with “Sparky’s” one of my favorite “reads,” for a few years before I ever joined.

We will all miss your clever sense of wit, it will in a way be like a family member that has “passed on” A void created, an enjoyable and appreciated part of these boards that will be “remembered.”

Like another sentiment above one can only hope there will be a future reincarnation and that … eleven, twelve, thirteen, you will be joined by our old “tid-bit” pal Grockstein. ;-)

It’s good to see that Tucker had a quick ”EYE” operation and can now see beyond his nose.

But once again, it seems the case is being solved not by detective work but by dumb luck. As was the case in (at least) the last two stories. Is Mr. Locher trying to tell us something about the value of police work?

Gweedo I tried that I get two adds breaking news and Netflix when I go to content there is no ad blockers.

I do hope you will return Bassmanbob. Perhaps in time to hear “I’ll kill him!” change to “It happened!”

Kid Vicious and the Dork-Tones haven’t ended their career yet – they haven’t played for an audience yet. Once an audience hears them, then maybe their career will be over….

I do not get all the pop-ups and ads. Of course I pay for membership!

About browser breakage: I’ve had pop-up blocking engaged for half-past forever, and I’m not sure that wasn’t part of the problem. I’ve become convinced this site hates Opera, so I guess I’ll have to stop using that browser here. At least until they decide to take Firefox down I still have something halfway safe that works.

I wonder if Dick Tracy can stop the father from murdering his son? There’s an anger management issue there, eh?

Mr. McMillan, have you installed one of FireFox’s ad-blocking add-ons? I have, and I never have to look at the banner ads that most people complain about. Just blocking pop-ups won’t get rid of banner ads, but a good ad-block add-on will do so. It makes all of the Internet much more enjoyable.

The banners don’t bother me much, I ignore them. Something has taken to breaking my favorite browser, though, and that’s not so easy to ignore.

It’s probably a banner ad with flash animation that’s locking up your browser. You could block banner ads, or turn off flash.
