What a weird bunch! I see that Phil is going to kill his son (again). He’d better be quick… I think Ohso will get Half Note to kill him first! This was worth staying up for!
G’morning margueritem, Flight Suit, and everyone!
BTW, I never shoplift petty items. I go for the gold!
Liam, I’ll ask that you allow this post, my farewell to everyone to remain.
To all, I have decided it is time to “throw in the towel”, as the old saying goes. On Friday a threat was made that could possibly affect all of us. I simply cannot allow my dispute over the treatment I have received to cause anyone to lose the opportunity to express themselves. I therefore have come to the conclusion that I will allow those in power to keep me off this board. I do this of my own choosing. It would be a crime if even one person lost the freedom to post due to the deplorable treatment I have received. I would rather allow those who have banished me unfairly to pound their chests and claim victory. To all the friends I have made over the years, Thanks for your unique ways of making me laugh.
NO BASSMAN!!!!!!!!!!! -sigh- Well…I guess ya gotta do what ya gotta do, You will be missed…(maybe you’ll be back in a new incarnation??One can only hope.) Crimestoppers Textbook: very true. I work in retail and thee are cameras everywhere: If you are a thief…beware!! The Comic: Maestro- Please get a new line! We all know you want to kill your son! To The Other Commentators: Have a great day. :)
I have begun to think I might be banned from this site. Not by the management, but by the pop-up ads, which have taken to breaking the browser I usually view this site with.
Today’s installment: Is there anywhere where there aren’t cameras all over the place? They’re at the warehouse I load up at in the morning, most places I deliver to, even in the company-supplied cell-phone.
Maestro you may have a point about killing your son. He may need it. But first, he’s got some ‘splainin to do. Then, have at it.
Tracy: “I better call the police. Oh, wait, I am the police. Dawgone it, I keep forgetting.”
Crime stopper. Cameras. “cuse me< if I see a shop lifter, I’m reporting it. Inventory loss, security costs, damaged merchandice, I wonder who ends up paying for it?

They used to bother me too and got *no* responses from GoComics about the ones that were trying to hijack my machine. I’ve found that the combination of Firefox and Adblock Plus (both free) have made this site safe again.
bassmanbob, for that’s how I’ll remenber you … not as one, two, three that is Mr.B
I’ll happily second the sentiment by Ludwig on your contributions and personality back on the “comicspage.com” board … for that’s where you were along with “Sparky’s” one of my favorite “reads,” for a few years before I ever joined.
We will all miss your clever sense of wit, it will in a way be like a family member that has “passed on” A void created, an enjoyable and appreciated part of these boards that will be “remembered.”
Like another sentiment above one can only hope there will be a future reincarnation and that …
eleven, twelve, thirteen, you will be joined by our old “tid-bit” pal Grockstein.;-)
But once again, it seems the case is being solved not by detective work but by dumb luck. As was the case in (at least) the last two stories. Is Mr. Locher trying to tell us something about the value of police work?
Kid Vicious and the Dork-Tones haven’t ended their career yet – they haven’t played for an audience yet. Once an audience hears them, then maybe their career will be over….
Grimegobber’s Tipsbook: What about robbing banks? They never have much money in the vault any more – is robbing banks still a crime? They have cameras…. What about convenience stores? All the other kids rob convenience stores, why can’t I rob them toooooooooooooooo?
Hey, you were my accomplice in that $2,000,000 violin theft! Call the police, I want to incriminate myself!
Wait … why does Phillip Harmonic want the police to find his son? I don’t understand … I haven’t been told enough times … WHY doesn’t Locher tell us what’s going on ENOUGH TIMES so we can GET IT??????
About browser breakage: I’ve had pop-up blocking engaged for half-past forever, and I’m not sure that wasn’t part of the problem. I’ve become convinced this site hates Opera, so I guess I’ll have to stop using that browser here. At least until they decide to take Firefox down I still have something halfway safe that works.
I wonder if Dick Tracy can stop the father from murdering his son? There’s an anger management issue there, eh?
Mr. McMillan, have you installed one of FireFox’s ad-blocking add-ons? I have, and I never have to look at the banner ads that most people complain about. Just blocking pop-ups won’t get rid of banner ads, but a good ad-block add-on will do so. It makes all of the Internet much more enjoyable.

CRIMESTOPPERS Textbook: Judging by that camera I’d say it was safe to steal - what with all that smoke coming out the top…
FLIGHT SUIT almost 15 years ago
Crimestopper’s Textbook today seems to be, um, designed to help shoplifters.
Panel Two: You’re phrasing that as a question, Dick?
Panel Three: You appear to be speaking with a corpse, actually.
Panel Six: Are you telling Virgil to call the police? ‘Cause I don’t think he will.
Lastly, Maestro, what are you going to do to your son? I’m not totally clear on that.

I had to take the big animation thingy out of the post, BASSMANBOB6. Kenny hates those. But the rest can stay.

Shouldn’t Tracy already know about the stolen/reappearing Strad? Oh, wait, that would require a cop.

The second to last panel would have worked better without the extremely short arm.
Tracy’s tie is still perfect even though he was thrown fifteen into the air and landed on concrete.

It’s probably a banner ad with flash animation that’s locking up your browser. You could block banner ads, or turn off flash.
