This is why I love the NHS – all treatments, including the drugs, are free at the point of delivery.

Tell me about it. When you’re in the donut hole getting 90 days’ worth of the big one—ouch. At least this should last me until the first of the year.

Gopher, they want you to do some shopping instead of waiting…part of the marketing plan..But patience and compassion toward the grannies might make you feel better.

I would rather spend the money on healthy food; pending on your individual needs the only side effect less friends because you will probably out live them.

One thing I was never able to figure out, why do American pharmaceutical companies are able to sell the same medications in Canada for a whole lot less than they sell them in the states! Kind of ridiculous to hear of people in the border states, taking monthly trips to Canada just to get cheaper medicines.

My mom was taking a looong list of meds two years ago but was getting worse and worse until a nurse said she had maybe a week or two to live. SIgned her up for a hospice program and knocked out ALL the meds save two inexpensive ones…she started getting better immediately. It’s been almost two years and she’s doing well at 87. GO figure.

@Jonathan Mason—-There is no such thing as free with NHS or otherwise. Someone has to pay for it. You are foolish to believe otherwise. No such thing as a free lunch is the old saying & holds true today.

I hope some of you guys are aware that by Law pharmacists have to discuss new medications to those who are picking them up the first time. Just pointing things out, you see… ;)
