As for today’s art, I don’t even know what to say about it. Three heads in profile, all standing there rigidly, seeming to inexplicably stare past Maestro and Junior, who, I think, are off to their left…

    Blah.

Since when are you Aunt Marg?

You can be Uncle Flight Suit.

    And I’ll bet you cheated.

Leaky, I knew it was Topper. That’s Leo G. Carroll, but I can’t remember the woman’s name.

Yea! Back to normal here! G’morning all.

I didn’t think much of the maestro and the kid, but it’s a bit sad to find that the bullet killed him. It’s nice to see that all three policeman are shown together. Let’s see…Dick Tracy, the Sergeant, and the one-man Terror Squad. What happened to the wide angle photographer? And where are the ambulances? If they had responded in a timely manner, the kid might still be alive. Maybe we’ll find out about Virgil Ohso tomorrow.

That’s pretty cool, Leaky. In light of Junior’s death, however, I think a traditional Kambastanian funeral dirge would be more appropriate.

Uh, Tracy, you told him yesterday that the kid can’t talk because he’s dead. I kknow that this strip is fond of repeating the same phrases over and over, but have a heart here.

Dearly beloved we are gathered today For our last respects we must pay We mourn sonny boys untimely death He has drawn his last mortal breath Over his son, pops would not have to sob Had the terror squad just done their job “No-one is to go in and no-one is to go out” The great defective was heard to shout But one man could not do it all So over the festivities is cast a pall As the cops stand around and stare Low Note hastens to get out of there Virgil lies dying in the street The story as yet is not complete Why the bomb, he must explain And I have no doubt it will be lame

You have to think that Maestro may really “Mandrake the Magician” in disguise (?). In his moment of poignant sorrow … look what he has done to the sidewalk and street (?) Suddenly! There is a lawn for Ludwig’s body to lay on, a stately fence in the background and a smattering of observers..

And, from the front of the Embassy entrance an impressive sloping “walkway”, somehow MAGICALLY appears, where moments before crowds gathered and cars once sped too and fro.

If not, are they already in a Cemetery across the street ?

One may need to wonder what possesed the Authors to press the “edge” of the envelope on “creative license” so aggressively (?).

Then, is something ‘burning’ inside ?.An explosion dampened in a pool of water (?) smoke? and no one called the Fire Sevices

Glad you enjoyed the music Mr Marble

I knew WW was composing and would be here shortly!

    Another good one WW.

Joe, are you getting current versions of The Dinette set? Strange that they don’t have them listed anymore. They were funny.

Since he died on Kambastanian soil in the course of a terrorist attack he is entitled to a traditional Kambastanian military funeral with highest honors – drawn by white horses and ladies by the score to his funeral longboat loaded with explosives. Then the fuse is lit and the boat sails out to sea … and then … FLOOOOOMM!

Ooo what a lucky man he was…. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JYIBfuVolOc

Is Maestro’s “NO!” a Colbert kind of NO!, or is it a Seymour Skinner slow motion NO!?
