The Chilean Devil Ray usually lives at the ocean's surface, but has recently been found diving to a depth of more than a mile to feed- 10 times deeper than a humpback whale. Four schools in Zimbabwe closed in November 2013 because of reports that pupils were being attacked by goblins. Yup! It is illegal to hunt squirrels with dynamite in Connecticut.

Goblins? Pish-posh! As for TNT & squirrels, awkward. As for the devil ray, amazing.

So squirrels with dynamite are just allowed to run loose? I’m not going to Connecticut anytime soon.

What did you learn today?
Zimbabwe goblins hunt squirrels with dynamite, but don’t worry. Batman’s taking care of it!

Whales are mammals with lungs (hollow places which will crush under pressure) while Rays are fish with gills. Doh!

I suspect that the rays are doing this more often now out of necessity — too few catchable prey near the surface. As for the law, I suspect that only one or two people had been doing it.

Looks like a batman ray to me.
benbrilling about 10 years ago
Calvin is very interested in that goblin idea.

Thought the ray was Batman before I scrolled down!
