Calvin has a conscience and a limit to how much sugar he can eat.

I almost bought a bag of Golden Oreos earlier tonight. Now I wish I had.

Calvin still hasn’t digested everything that has happened in this one evening.

Here are Patty and Shermy when they were “young.”Click here: Peanuts (May 4, 1951)

I love this story line; Calvin definitely won. He had a fantastic evening, maybe 30 minutes of trouble, and tomorrow it will be “…well I think he’s learned his lesson” and back to normal.

    Who dares, wins

I can only remember one episode where Calvin got his backside tanned. His mother got all horsed up to go out, and C put a bucket of water on top of the door to get her as she walked out. Drowned rat time at the ol’ household ;-). C walked away nursing his throbbing stern section thinking to himself, about his mother “What a grouch!”.

I know this is a ‘toon and I don’t mean to get preachy, but I really do hope that, if only for a moment, Calvin feels the weight of his misdeeds. When you look around at the wholesale damage that a “no consequences” upbringing can do it’s really not funny. Being a crazy kid is one thing. Being ALLOWED to be a crazy kid is something else altogether. I’m glad BW had Mom give Calvin a serious talk.

He and Hobbes probably feel sick because they didn’t eat their Oreos with milk. I never eat cookies of any kind without a glass of milk.
