Englishman Toni Morrison ran the length of the British Isles- over 1000 miles- with a refrigerator on his back. Edson Aparecido Borim of Sao Paulo, Brazil, makes his living by selling space on his body for tattooed advertisements. There is enough water in Lake Superior to cover all of the Americas to a depth of 1 foot.

Why, Mr. Morrison, did you do so?

With the abundance of water in some areas and a dearth in others, perhaps it’s time for a major pipeline or aqueduct construction project on the scale of the interstate highway program or the space program, for the purpose of creating a more equitable distribution of water in this country. Jobs would be created, floods eased and droughts in the western states alleviated. Better than selling arms simultaneously to two countries warring against each other.

And Tony Hawks went around Ireland with a fridge (hitchhiking, not running). See his book Round Ireland With a Fridge (on Amazon), and the movie based on it.

It just seems to me that it would make more sense to just stop at a 7-ll when you get hungry.

The building of desalination plants is the answer, rather than a pipeline that requires constant cleaning as do boilers of deposits that will choke it off. The extra benefit of desalination is a sure supply of ocean salts and dissolved minerals, aluminum and yes gold, then there is the steady supply of Hydrogen as a fuel. Ships of the Navy have more fresh water than they can use all from the ocean they sail on. When Castro cut Gitmo’s water pipe, the carriers were called to supply our bases there with drinkable water.

What about the cord to keep the ref. plugged in?

To answer your question. Yes. My refrigerator is running!

You’d think that someone else would make the same career choice as Borim.

And then Morrison wrote “Beloved.” Oh wait…
