    Was in Memphis when Elvis passed, every radio station in the area played Elvis nonstop for 2 weeks about drove me crazy and I liked his music :(

    Given he died in August 1977, yes, Elvis was dead. Boopsie presumably means a sign from the afterlife – hence the reference to being able to “practically feel Elvis’ presence.”

    My claim to fame: When I was at FSU, I had a classmate who told me about walking in downtown Memphis, when she saw Elvis coming in the opposite direction. When they passed, she smiled and nodded. He seemed shocked that she hadn’t fallen all over him.We were all young then – Elvis was twenty-seven days older than I was. (We’ve got an 80th coming up.)
