I’m glad they’re getting rid of those vending machines. Most of them have garbage. And at most schools, the kids can’t leave the grounds during school hours anymore.
Unfortunately, did you ever see the garbage a lot of parents send with their kids?
I don’t remember what city, but I recently read an article about how the city council and school board worked together - vending machines in school had fruit and fruit juices, and the neighboring mini-marts carried healthier food and displayed it, keeping the “bad” stuff out of sightlines. It seems to be working.
