I’d say move to a better location but cats expect the world to come to them.
It’s been a long time since we had a cat, but I don’t recall any of them liking belly rubs. Belly rubbing one of them was a good way to get bitten/scratched.

Most cats I knew didnt like it. As said before, they bit you if you tried.
Our first cat did not allow belly rubs; our current cat loves them.
