Arthur and Maude belong to yet another offshoot of the Ballard Walking and Talking Club. The Ballard Sublime Climb and Breathing Hard Club.They hold their meetings at REI.

You have to show that you can climb the hill, thinks Arthur…to prove that you’re not already over it.

Is Arthur related to the old Duke of York:“The great old Duke of York,he had ten thousand men,he lend them up to the top of the hilland he led them down again.And when they were up they were up,And when they were down they were down,And when they were only halfway up,they were neither up nor down.”

The above ditty was learned 50+ years ago when I was a Brownie. Just don’t ask me the name of the woman my stepson is marrying today.

He best be careful.Squirrels gravitate toward big baggy legged shorts…

Climbing hills was not nearly as much fun as rolling down them! Oh happy days!!!

Arthur went up the hill, but came down a mountain!

You call that a hill? Why, when I was young, I climbed a mountain to go to Brownies. (I have the Mountain Climbing Badge to prove it, so there!)Arthur and Mabel need to get a reality check. :-P

@Bev I had Daughter watch Walker Run and she Loved it! She had me send it to her so she could email it to all her doggie lovin’ friends.Best video of the Day Award!They had a black Lab named Kona who would race around our house and jump flat out into the spa. You couldn’t take a bath without her trying to get in.

I’m the age my parents were when I thought they were over the hill on a bob sled. Yikes! Are there any brakes on those things?

BEV, I think I may still have a Nancy Drew book somewhere around. But the Brownie book is something else. I loved it.

I’m no YOUTUBEr, but I will on occasion tune in to TCM on demand. Yesterday morning, I killed part of a gruelling 3 & a half hours at the auto dealership watching Dr. Kildare’s Strange Case in real time on the web. I didn’t think I’d take that long to do an oil change. I got to the dealership 25 minutes before it opened for business and there were still about 10 cars ahead of me. In hindsight, I’m glad I took my tablet.

I PLANNED to do a whole lot of food and drink images(as Bev usually does those)But Stel and Susan did such a splendid job and I don’t have the talents of many of you. I DID at least wish a Happy B-Day on Daddy’s before the rest (as I’m pretty sure Tony would want to know).

I just got home from my regular weekend a while ago (hope I get to move soon).
