If I hold out my arm, I can see to my hand clearly. Anything past that gets fuzzy.Ever notice how hard it is to find your glasses when they aren’t on top of your head? Maybe if I whistle for them……

I put my glasses on in the dark and almost never take them off till I go to bed. Without them, I can walk without bumping into walls and people (usually), but that’s about it.

I’m near-sighted in one eye and far-sighted in the other (I actually have better than normal distance vision in the far-sighted eye). So, yeah, I can see but it puts a strain on the eye being asked to do something it’s not really suited for. But because of the overlap, there’s this small area about 4 inches in front of my face I can’t see at all.

I’m not sure. Right now I’m being blinded by the light.

I don’t need glasses to read, etc., but the day I saw three traffic lights at each corner I knew I needed driving glasses.

Hubby wore glasses from the time he was 8 until he had cataract surgery two years ago. He still reaches to take of his non-existent old glasses from time-to-time.

I used to manage with only the magnifiers for the tiny print and my illuminations, but this year I finally realized I’m developing cataracts (at 76). I have glasses but plan to have my far sided eye operated after I move (can’t be bothered with it until then).

I can see stars hundreds of millions of miles away.
