That was my Mom – the can-oholic. My Dad had to put up extra shelves in the basement for her “collection”.

My mom used to can a lot of fruits not so much on vegetables then that ended. I did not pick up that trend.

The closet is where I eat my cookies so my wife doesn’t see me.

Maybe Earl should tell Opal to get in the closet so she can’t see him eating the peaches.

I think that big white sheet Earl used at the dinner table in a previous strip would be pretty good. xxx

WOW…does anyone can anything any more? I think we use a canning jar to hold pens that we never use any more since we do everything on our Galaxy phones.

You’re in good company, Earl. -… I grow old … I grow old … I shall wear the bottoms of my trousers rolled. Shall I part my hair behind? Do I dare to eat a peach? I shall wear white flannel trousers, and walk upon the beach. I have heard the mermaids singing, each to each. … T.S. Eliot – The Love Song of J. Alfred Prufrock

You all made me hungry and now thinking about going to the u pick orchard tomorrow for some freshly picked peaches. They are in their prime now, and I have a recipe for peach cobbler that is made in a crock pot.
