For once I agree with Carmen. But the problem is the negative ads are used as much for voter suppression as opposition discourse. Many studies have shown just running the negative ads discourages less motivated voters from coming out. Thus you are left with a small, but committed base whose small numbers can effect the outcome more dramatically. One of the world’s oldest, successful democracies and we are working really hard to keep people away.

And yet there are still those who don’t know that this isn’t a democracy. But Democrats want it to be.

We keep ending up with corrupt politicians because people keep voting straight tickets. We get what THEY vote for. Like many political evaluators point out… most common citizens are not educated enough or know where to find adequate information on politics, government, economics, international law and all the other complex functions involved in managing a nation’s government that feels compelled to play with global economics and religious morality.

I don’t know if I’m seeing this right, but it looks like Mr. Stantis put one of those spin-buckets behind Winslow. Get it? Spin bucket…political spin…Oh, never mind. I’m probably wrong anyway.

Unfortunately, this was one of the lowest voter turnouts in years. What with the stupid voter id laws and other nonsense things that the republicans, Koch brothers, the supreme court and conservatives (of which I used to be) helped in the lower voter turnout.

The “Voter ID” did nothing to intimidate or limit voting like photo ID does nothing to eliminate drunk driving or public intoxication.

Carmen and Winslow are cleaning up the hole the Republicans dug for us six years ago so they can start digging again, but this time, because of the phony Tea Baggers they will be using a Skip Loader.

That doesn’t change my definition. The depth of the lie might change but it is still a lie.
