The moon has regular moonquakes- some reading higher than 5 on the Richter scale! Oops! A Chinese chef died in August 2014 after being bitten by the severed head of a cobra he was preparing for soup- 20 minutes after he had removed it from its body! The distinctive smell of fresh rain on dry ground is caused by spores released by the Actinomycetes bacteria, found in soil.

That poor, poor chef. He should’ve worn protective gloves.

It’s possible the head wasn’t being put into the soup. He might have left it lying on the cutting board and when he went to dispose of it, he got bit. Just trying to imagine the scenario.

Always, always treat a gun as if it were loaded!

I think some things were not meant to be eaten…like cobras, poison fish…and a plethora of other animal parts that Asians like to partake of, especially those from endangered animals. Unless you’re starving and nothing else is available, please leave superstition behind and progress into the 21st century.

I read that chefs name was “Won Dum Guy”. :)~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
He’s an INDIAN – not a China man.

I’ve heard of dead alligators clamping down on birds that lit on the tongue in the open mouth. Some reactions do not require a brain to trigger.

I’d read that a rattlesnake could bite a person even after its head was severed from its body by a chainsaw the person was using, but not that other snakes, such as the cobra, could do it too, no matter how their heads were severed from their bodies.

Did you never step on a dead bee and get stung? Same idea, if the poison gland is intact and the fang pierces the skin , you get poison
