I went into a place once and ordered hamburger.they apologized but explained they were out of patties..“Never mind, just bring me a hamburger without one.”.Bread, mayonnaise, onions, tomato, lettuce, pepper, dill pickle..It was as good as ever..For some reason when I try a veggie burger, it doesn’t taste as good a simple hamburger without meat..Go figure.
In a dimwitted moment I asked my then-husband why he put salad dressing on the lettuce and tomato he pulled off his hamburger; he answered – “Because I wanted a salad to go with my hamburger!”
