I don’t have a problem with political or anything else on TV – I haven’t had a TV in over 20 years – don’t miss it at all. I do have a radio and occasionally listen to NPR if there is programming I enjoy. Otherwise I enjoy the sounds of Nature. Nice to live in a rural environment and away from the ‘people pollution’.
Too bad there isn’t a law that takes some small percentage of a candidate’s campaign budget and applies it to a group that can research and broadcast the truth about a candidate’s claims immediately after one of their commercials.
I wonder if anyone ever changed his/her mind after listening to these negative campaign ads. The only thing they do for me is reinforce my opinion that the city, county, state and country are run by evil idiots….vote for the one who is least obnoxious!
It’s early voting season in most states. GET OFF YOUR COMPUTER AND GO VOTE!!! CORRECTION: FIRST USE YOUR COMPUTER TO FIND OUT WHO TO VOTE FOR, THEN GO VOTE!!!!!!!!32 individuals contributed more money in the last presidential election than all other donors combined. That makes it seem like it is impossible for the middle class to have any say in what happens in this country. Nothing could be further from the truth. Those 32 people only have 32 votes. The Middle Class has millions…………………………………………………………………………….………………The only thing that is going to save the Middle Class is the Middle Class. We are the 99%—- that means we have the votes to elect people who will actually represent middle class workers and provide a safety net for those who are trying to get into the middle class. We all need to know WHO is supporting the candidates. That is who they will be working for. They have no choice if they want to stay in office. You have to do the bidding of whoever is paying your way, just the same as we all do in our jobs. So, before going to vote, look it up on the internet. Open Secrets is a good site, but there are plenty ………………………………………………………………………….………………….. If the candidate is getting their money from small donors or from unions, they are going to be working for middle class working people. If their donations are from corporations or from 1%ers, that’s who their votes are going to be working for. They are not going to go against them and do anything to help the middle class.
Been that way since I can remember. Selling of the President 1968Read that book and changed my thoughts.“Wont get fooled again” The Who 1971Yep, meet the new boss….same as the old boss. Now I just sit back and chuckle. I push a button to vote and get on with.
I did vote for Pat Paulson when we finally got the voting age lowered to 18. 1970. I finally got to vote in 1972 and voted for Pat Paulson. Had to write him in but did it anyway. Of course that was back in the paper ballot day.Of course I was on my way to the Nam in 72 so that was my great one finger salute.

Forget about air freshener, Bert. You need political repellant. Get it as a roll-on.

We wouldn’t have such a problem with the smell if so many people didn’t actually like it.

Oh Bert there is a former Vice President who whats a word with you about the stink you have been raising.

Nothing kills the stench of politics like a good five cent cigar.Actually, you can’t smell anything after a few of those.

He is right, TV does have a stink; especially during political campaigning time and that fox channel.

It would be political suicide.

I was at the zoo this weekend watching the chimps fling feces at each other. Then I went home to the political ads. Some old sh*t.
Argy.Bargy2 about 10 years ago
There’s not enough air freshener in the known universe to clean the air after political ads…

Would that stuff be called “Liesol”? If only, Bert, if only….
Argy.Bargy2 about 10 years ago
I wish we had ballots that said ‘none of the above’. That choice would win every time…
