If it goes “Boom Chicka Wow Wow”, better check who the previous owner was…

The red Plymouth Fury is a no go. Besides… it repairs itself. No mechanic needed after it attaches itself to a new owner. Now the 1967 Chevrolet Impala …. takes a lickin’ and with a good mechanic and body man – keeps on tickin’. Its been to that place and back. And is still on the side of good.

Adam should know – the mechanic never hears what you hear. Back when I was a know nothing teenager – I would have to get dad to drive my car around the block every night for two weeks before he could hear what I heard. … then the mechanic would say – brought in just in time – the rear axel was hanging by a thread – one good bump and ‘boom’ there she goes!

We had my ’72 mustang on vacation at Colonial Williamsburg and it was making a noise. We drove into the gas station/auto shop in the parking lot of the restoration and described it for the man – “It sounds like a straw being pulled in and out of a plastic lid on a soda cup.” He knew what it was from the description and very nicely told us that we could get it fixed at home after our trip was over and did not charge us.
