It is always helpful to let the Dad into the circle…! I’ll bet he won’t like waking up in the middle of the night by a wet, angry, hungry baby again! Its fun (for the most part) to carry a baby (assuming there isn’t any morning sickness, etc.). Especially if one passes on knowing what sex the child is. When I had my son, it was the most miraculous thing to ever happen to me. However, one was all I ever had…and needed! ;)
I guess my wife and I ‘lucked out’ ! We had three girls and all of them slept through the night after two weeks at home. The only problem was getting them to sleep but once there, they did the whole night thing until about 7 or 7:30.
Christopher was Lizzie’s age, not Richard. And how is Annie in her late 30’s? Her oldest child is the same age as Elizabeth and I get the impression she married young and started a family fairly quickly.
I tried the “rhythm” way first (as a good Catholic) after our first- problem was, my X would not cooperate to avoid those days. After that it just went down the various methods with 3 boys and finally a girl I could dress up, and I told him he had to give me permission for a ligation because (on his salary) we could not afford more than 4. His reaction to that was unspeakable and I divorced as soon as they were old enough to be in school full time so I could support them without assistance.

Anne became banquet manager for a local high-class hotel. She’s the one who catered Elizabeth’s wedding at the end of the first run strips.
Really? Don’t remember her. What happened to the kids? Why wan’t little Richard a classmate of Lizzy?

It is highly doubtful that a family-oriented strip would have a story arc about abortion.
