Let us not leave Pig off scot-free here! He turned on the TV, and by Rat’s bad karma, that Pillsbury ad happened to be on, the one with the giggling Dough Boy. Pig’s reckless behavior precipitated Rat’s latest dream-delusion.

At least rat cn turn them into pastries…..

This story arc peaked on Wednesday, but Pastis doesn’t believe in ending after he’s made his point. I really think the one-off pun strips are his strong suit. He tends to drive story lines over the cliff.

This is quite obviously a nice homage right back to Bill Watterson (Calvin’s snowmen series of strips). I’m frankly quite surprised that nobody else has made this connection already.
