We all become vegans and do what with all of the cows, cattle, and pigs that are not native to North America? Just kill them and let them rot? Let them run wild to destroy the crops we’ll need to eat? It’ll be murder if we eat them and murder if we don’t. We’re animals, my instinct is to eat meat, so that is natural for me. You are welcome to eat what is natural for you.
That’s odd, I got a different comic for today in the email versus the one posted here. Both are dated 11/3. The one in the email is black and white and has Roy carrying a platter with a roasted pig on it.
Ahh corporate nagging. I worked for an OEM computer vendor. We regularly go lectures and emails and letters nagging us to eat better and be more fit.
In the meantime, corporate often had mandatory overtime – at one point, my department was working a mandatory 56 hours a week. Very often, our lunch hour was reduced to fifteen minutes. Managements way of letting us know about the change? Distributing hamburgers/cheeseburgers and letting us know we had fifteen minutes to eat it.
Some of us started walking on our fifteen minute breaks. We were told to stop it because it was risky and distracting.
So we moved to the stairs to exercise and management said to stop that because it was a high risk activity.
Even healthy eaters started gaining weight because of the high level of stress and extremely sedentary nature of our jobs.
And the memos to eat healthier and exercise just kept rolling in…
I was vegetarian (nearly vegan) for a full year. Now I’m glad it’s over and I can eat whatever I choose.
Calling myself “Former Vegan” on sites, I still ate steamed broccoli and cauliflower au gratin for supper tonight (but with a bottle of amber ale)- yummy. I topped it off with a spoonful of lovely raspberry gelato.
Vegan and/or vegetarian = can’t hunt…and was the reason gatherers died out and were replaced by hunters, their emaciated corpses forming fertilizer for the flora which in turn became the food for the prey of the hunters.

A compromise: Keep up the calories, scrimp on the colories.

That is a fun parking lot because you can’t Tupperware and microwave a whole roast pig.
