Husband and sister are becoming no help at all. This is serious!

I still don’t really get this….I just figure Brian Crane doesn’t do his own cooking…

It’s OK, I read comics for the humor, not the recipes…but..You’re usually making the soup, or at least the broth, when you boil the chicken…

You save the chicken to eat, and you may put some of its meat back into the broth when you make it into a finished soup …but actually making soup out of the chicken is finished.

So Opal should have a pot of broth or soup already in the fridge.

Hope she looked in it for the chicken..but if it somehow got left out at room temp, it’s spoiled anyway, and you’d only want to find it to put in in the garbage, so it won’t stink up the house.

And if she’s already become that spacy with perishable food…. it’s a good thing their daughter lives next door.

I’m thinkin’ it’s the cat. Muffin. Think of all the other stuff Muffin gets away with….. Should find some evidence that will point to Muffin doin’ in the chicken.

I am beginning to wonder if this is funny, or if we are merely making fun of old folks.

One doesn’t have to be old for this confusion. I’m 61 and starting to pull ‘Opal’ stuff. Sigh…..

I would hope she looked in the fridge, but if it is in the cabinet, or the oven then it is too late to make soup out of that chicken…..ewwwww…….but I am betting on the cat and dog.

Is it only the chicken that’s missing? Or the soup too?

It’s not in the house, that’s for sure. I forgot a chicken once and the next day the house smelled like roadkill!

I still think earl or roscoe ate the chicken after opal went to bed & they’re not going to tell her.

If laughter is good exercise, I should be a little thinner by now… or at least lighter.

If Earl (or Curtis Wilkins), enters the frame picking his teeth, the mystery will soon be solved.
