Think I read somewhere that the movie was based on an actual incident in 1914 in New Jersey.
Ah yes — “Jaws” — I loved the book (stone sober), then saw the movie under — shall we say — the influence of a certain inhaled substance now legal in the Centennial State — resulting in a very different reaction. But it was the ’70s…
