Worked for my Dad. Also, back in those days TV didn’t have remote control. Dad would tell me what channel he wanted, and whether to adjust the volume up or down.
One time, while staying at a Visiting Officer’s Quarters (sort of like a low-end motel room) I had the door open to allow the breeze to cool the room.
I heard this whirring sound in the hallway and presently, a radio-controlled truck went by my door. It returned a minute later going the other way with a beer on board.

@stimaddog5: Yeah my pop had me tending bar by the time I was 10. Occasionally made mistakes though, like serving beer on ice, but I learned.
