Quite possibly, the bird is thinking the same thing. .(Is that pig laughing?)

I joined a group of other bird watchers 3 years ago, enjoying the great web cams up at Cornell U for the nest of the Red Tail Hawks. One friend from there has 2 hawks that she flys.

Birds are good hunters. Rita better watch out.

It’s a beautiful scene. Although I seriously doubt Rita knows the first thing about falconry.

I took that in a park in NJ, near where I lived at the time.

I was out waiting for the Blue Angels to make another pass and this bird paid a visit.

@Night, yes, and I would not dream of trying falconry myself. I could not deal with the violence.

@Comics, yes, pet birds (as well as hunting birds- distinct) both require much attention. I loved my cockatoo and to a lesser extent my grey, but it was worth all the work and attention (and even some destruction) to have such lovely creatures in my life.

Blue Angels fly out over our house when they’re practicing for the Chicago Air & Water Show because there’s less congestion than around the NAS Great Lakes/Midway/O’Hare traffic patterns. Beautiful sight.
