If you are calling about your cellular service press 401... Not losing it... Not losing it... Your cable TV, press 402... Your high-speed Internet, press 403... Due to high call volume, you will be experiencing longer than usual wait times... Keep it together. Your estimated wait time is... Just long enough to lose my patience, my job, my sanity...

If this is still about trying to get the newspaper column out, she could always try calling via a good old fashioned landline!!

We brought out cable box back for a replacement and were told they had to have a serviceman go to our condo. They don’t stock the box we have. I guess that was quicker than holding the phone for an hour or more.

I called [a certain chain store] to see if my vacuum cleaner was repaired and ready for pick up. I fell asleep while on hold, woke up and was still on hold. The next time my vacuum cleaner went out, I bought a new one from a specialty store. After about 20 years and a few quick repairs, that one has finally conked out for good.

Remember the day when you called a place and got a real, live person? I miss those days!!Today, you “answer” all the questions via touchtone…get a person…who asks all the same questions again…I got rid of AT&T for that reason…

I wonder if Fritzi is a Stones fan. I wouldn’t have expected her to have ever even HEARD of Cream, so I guess it’s possible. Maybe good ol’ Bobby Keys will get listened to here in a couple of weeks.

Personally, I find that saying “Representative” often (but not always …) connects me to a live person.
