…again? Yeah, I think we know how they got rid of all the mammals the last time.

Crap…they must be talking about Chic. His “father” is going to “scrape him off” like something that’s been stepped in. I can’t recall any “leniancy” shown towards any of the visitors from Endtown except Sarah, who (whom?) Herpetopolis wanted to recruit.

Gas bottles with warning labels on them? This can’t end well.

I have that suspicion that though the others are discussing ridding Lizardland of Jim, their leader is alluding to Chic, and in his view he’s taking out two problems. I wouldn’t deign to call this character a ‘father’, for he only sired Chic. Still, bad decisions have worse consequences and only the deeply deluded think otherwise.

Doesn’t have to be poison gas, just has to be enough gas to displace enough of the oxygen in the passages for about say 10 minutes, to asphyxiate Jim ( and any one else in there ). Any gas leaking past poorly sealed holes wouldn’t hurt any one if they had good ventilation ( Wally?). Use carbon monoxide and it’s a lot trickier, CO bonds to the blood cells better than oxygen and builds up- you could get by with less volume, but leaks would endanger the population. Lots of choices here.

Yes, they are. Topsiders use the upside down Triangle. These are point up triangles. That was the APEX logo of old.

Welp – I stand corrected. You, lizard leader, are a terrible father. “Eerie…going through all this unpleasant business again” makes me wonder if he’s killed an offspring before, or someone else’s offspring? Just because though it’s probably been done for rebels and such, he’s had double meanings throughout most of these panels…

I want very much to believe that Chief has completely forgotten about his son living in the passageways. Sadly, it won’t occur to him until after “Operation: Gas Chamber” commences.

This isn’t what I figured would hPPEN. I thought top lizard would toss the prison key to Wally and tell him to get his son out and far away quickly. It may br that mom might see they are going to poison him with Jim and she may call him to the Twinky box to get outt, but that leaves Dangling Wally and Holly.

So far, the only one we know for sure who knows that Chic, Holly, and the cockroach are also in the tunnels is Wally. (1) How would he tell them? and (2) Would they take it seriously?

I’ve had a few thoughts and have been reading back for over an hour.1. is I’d like to see Sarah lay an egg.2. Wally’s jail door is wood and has bars in it. Rodents have great teeth for gnawing. It wouldn’t take Holly long to gnaw thru the bottom of a couple of bars. they could all get in or out.

Pump a load of deadly gas into an area with an insane raccoon bent on ruining everyone he meets. Better hold your breath.

Are they concerned about pumping poison gas into an area where they haven’t plugged every hole? There’s a brick-sized one in Wally’s cell.

Ok, you got me. I suppose that as an engineer I should know better than to misuse scientific terms. At the moment the only things we really have to go by that Chic’s dad might assume that Chic would be in the passageways with Jim are the fact that Chic has said that he believes that his parents are out to kill him by sealing him in with Jim and that the chest of Twinkies (which are said to be supplied by his parents). It could be that Chic is being paranoid and that the parents had given him the Twinkies and he had brought them into the passageways and hidden them in the chest himself. Most of the father’s words could be taken two ways depending on whether or not one believes that he expects Chic to be there. I believe that he would expect it and know that Chic is hidden there. That would cast his words as being somewhat sinister.

I suppose it could be a poison or disease that affects warm blooded animals but not reptiles. I guess it’s also possible that the tunnels were built to trap and kill those with schism disease/non reptiles.
