“Holiday” is beginning to be discouraged. What if the offended party doesn’t celebrate anything this time of year.

Whether it is “Happy Holidays” or “Merry Christmas”, the sentiment is the same. Basically, good wishes for you and yours. So, Merry Christmas, everyone. :-)

If there is a war on Christmas, I think Christmas is winning. It has already conquered Halloween and Thanksgiving.

some of us actually know the real reason for the season…. christmas is just a ploy by the christians to replace the pagan solstice celebrations, so save your outrage, it was christians that started the war on the holiday celebrations, not the other way around.

The holiday is called Christmas. It’s right on the calendar. Honestly, no one cares if you say merry Christmas.

In my household holiday is synonymous for Bah Humbug. But that is only because my felines don’t speak English or else I would have been out voted. What can I say I’m just a troll.

In 2004 I worked for a large bank that due to “diversity training”, it required that no mention of the “Holidays” be used. Any gifts received from vendors were promptly refused and a note was sent or given to the sender stating the policy. The “Holiday” party was moved to a Summer event. Odd thing was, Gay Pride Day was still celebrated since canceling it would be result in lawsuits and bad press. Go figure!

When we lived in San Francisco, we went to BYOB Christmas/Chanukah/Kwanzaa parties where some of the men would get together in the kitchen and fry potato latkes for the gathering.. Fun times!
