There is a statue in front of the local university college football stadium that I have been tempted to do to it what Eddie has done to that tree. University officials have tried to attach high-brow symbolism to it, but everybody in town knows what it’s supposed to mean. In case you’re wondering, it’s made from concrete encased game footballs.
