I am an infrequent poster but love to read the ’toon and the comments. This is like a family! Kitties and posters! Such an enjoyable ’toon, Mr. Harrop. Many thanks!
Beautiful way to incorporate the dedication Graham. I have only come to read the strip in the last couple years but am a fan of the cats. I only have five but can see the individual personalities of each and everyone as easily as you portray your cats’ personalities. Thank you for your hard work and laughs you provide.
Graham: what a nice thing to do! The people who come to this strip are the best. They offer words of encouragement, share great stories and lighten our moods and love kitties. They’re a great group of people.
Well, no adoptions yesterday at PetCo. Rory was being Missy Pissy so she can’t go again. We found someone who will take her for a barn cat. This woman is a friend of Susans so knows all about holding her for 10 days before releasing her. Baby was so scared – I wanted to bring him home but Susan wanted to leave him down there in the PetCo cage so we did. Don’t tell my husband, but I’m thinking of keeping him. Brad won’t really care, but it would put us back up to 4 cats.
Lots of people wanted the kittens but some were impulses. They had to go on a wait list because the babies are getting fixed and shots on the 8th, then I will keep them till the 10th and then they can go to their forever homes. We kind of already picked a family for them. They want both kittens, have 3 daughters and spent time playing with the kittens. Some of the others just looked and didn’t bother to even hold them. One woman had kids. The 16 yr old daughter does not like cats at all. The woman wanted one kitten for her son, She said he has emotional issues (he is 8) and she hoped the kitten would calm him. SHE would not even hold a kitten. The boy kept squeezing the baby and we had to take it away. He screamed, stomped his feet and grabbed the cage. They are NOT getting a cat from us!
Woot! Woot! GREAT! Graham and K-ATZ and Ten Cats!!! That is what we call “Wunschkonzert” (musical request programme)! Dry and Dusty – you need not to be jealous – and also Wet and Soggy. Our two Ladys for the weather forecast! What wonderful great idea! I love Ten Cats! I love Graham Harrop! I love you all! Hope all is well with Ruth. Please stay safe and sound and give us a little sign.
A perfect description of my beloved Owens Valley, once a lush green oasis in the desert until Los Angeles took nearly all our water…now we get dust storms that sometimes shut down the highway.
This one made me laugh out loud. I love the cats on the radio. And, yes, a very nice tribute. I am praying Ruth is okay. Happy – I am with you. Unfortunately our weather report is for 4-9 inches of snow tomorrow. Ugh!
I am a loyal reader but new poster – this is so sweet, to include your long-time commenters in the strip! I like reading posts where commenters are a friendly community/family. How special.
I don’t know what to do right now, I want to wish everybody a Happy Caturday, but I just can’t feel it right now.Last evening Chester passed in his sleep with Roy right next to him. Lately they’ve taken to napping together in the overstuffed Victorian chair in my office while I work on my art. It sits behind me and to my left, it’s back to the window, making for a nice perch for kitties to look out of.Before Barbara got sicker from her MS, she used to sit there with me, on her PC and we would surf and play games together.Chester usually naps after dinner and up to bedtime on occasion, so I thought nothing was amiss for at least 2 hours. Roy got up but Chester did not even stir.I froze in horror as I looked at his side and saw no breathing! I went to pick him up and he was cold and stiff.Barbara and I are heartbroken. She thinks it may be Cardiomyopathy, because it was so sudden and without any suffering.Chester was in excellent form earlier, play the endless games of fetch, wanking on his favorite fleece two times, good appetite, as vocal as always. In another week he would have been 8 months old, Mama was up all night looking out the window and we heard her crying off and on for a hour.I did all my crying this morning and still have a few more to shed. I have to go out and see if I can dig a grave for Chester, we don’t have the luxury of cremating him, when we owe money to the landlord, etc.Chester was loved everyday, played with, cuddled and kissed. He was such a smart little baby, and would talk your ear off. If you spoke to him or meowed, he would talk back, every time. I’ll Miss you my Talky Tiger R.I.P!
That is a wonderful tribute Graham. Dry and Wet will love it.I do hope everything is alright with Ruth..A Dream 4U I am so very sorry to hear about Chester. Any passing of our beloved furry friends is heartbreaking. My thoughts go out to you and Barbara both.
Oh my!@Graham Harrop You have created such a heart felt strip with characters that are so loveable that one’s soul feels “full” with every emotion that comes with it. Annie and all Ten Cats have captured all of our hearts, and our giggle boxes. Thank you so much for all of your special attention to your fans and know that your fans adore your efforts and you as well as your creations. You Sir are my hero!@ Ten Cat fans and friends So sorry not to have come let you know whats up, but I have been scurrying around and hurrying every chance I got just to do what I have been doing. – lol – After I got over the flu, I decided to go to see my sister in Mississippi, then Ramona and I had a trip planned for New Years and we are in the midst of it. We dont always have internet access, but right now I do as we are aboard ship bound for New Zealand. We will be home in a couple of weeks, and I will see you then. Will try to post some pics when we get back, but I am going to chill and enjoy our trip. I hope you all had a marvelous Christmas and that you are enjoying a very wonderful New Year!Dry and Dusty and Marge – Do you feel as special as I do right now? – lol -
@A_Dream4uI am so sorry to hear about Chester. I know how hard it is to have your beloved cat die suddenly. I am glad you are burying him in the yard. My Mua is in a garden- I live in an apartment. Our first two cats are in another garden. I miss my cats daily.
Congratulations Dry and Dusty and Wet and Soggy! Thank you, Graham, for honouring these loyal fans. It was Dry who brought me here. I love these cats!“You are my sunshine” is a favorite of mine. I sing it to a budgie named “Sunshine” all the time. She loves it.
P.S. I read this everyday. First one I go to. I don’t post a lot but I enjoy reading everyone else’s. I know I will probably never meet any of you, but I know I’d love you all. Still miss Linda and DAZZ, glad to hear you’re alive and well Ruth. Going to New Zealand before I die is the one think I want to do! Have fun!
