Tia Carmen: Maybe marriage is what I need, Gregorio. Tia Carmen: Sometimes I wonder if I'm living my life for other people... Tia Carmen: Instead of living life for myself.
I wonder if she told her family that she was going to fly off with Gregorio and marry him? Otherwise I can see them calling the cops and posting her picture up on telephone poles.
Still, if Gregorio isn’t a lothario, this is can be a good thing for Tia Carmen.
BTW- this month marks the 10 year anniversary of Baldo, and I was thinking of celebrating with a live teleconferencing call with fans of the strip.
You’d be able to call and give Hector and I a chance to speak with you guys live, answer questions, shoot the breeze live or even tell us what you hate about the strip.
I could even get a couple of other cartoonists on the line as well.
Think of it as one big party line. What do you say? You guys up for some fun? Are you interested?
The teleconference sounds like a great idea, but I won’t be checking in myself, alas. Too high-tech for me…
Just think if you’d taken the “Gasoline Alley”/”For Better or For Worse” approach to the strip; Baldo would be in his mid-20’s, Gracie would be starting college (well, it might be a bit early for that, but she’s on an advanced-placement trajectory…)
If it were San Diego, the water would be bluish and on the right (if you are looking south), but there would be a lot more buildings along the beach. This has the look of the Mexico coast. Did Tia leave home with her passport?

They better not start rolling in the waves like “From Here to Eternity.”

This is getting weirder and weirder. I still think someone’s imagination might well be running riot.

If it’s a dream, let her dream. If it’s “real” then let Gregorio be good. He does seem to have a tear in the eye.

Has the poor guy met the family?

Didn’t realize Tia Carmen had curves. Random thought I know.

If this isn’t a dream, when did Tia Carmen go shopping? I’m sure she didn’t have that outfit in her wardrobe.

Not a tear on Gregorio, just sloppy ink work I’m afraid. But hey, if the tear angle works for you guys, let’s roll with that.

Is this resort close to Villa Los Kubos?

OK, I can’t say I have any idea where this is heading (rather, I can think of too many possibilities). I like it!
Good work, Carlos!

Tia Carmen continually dreams her déjà vu dream romantically and fantastically.

Where in the world is Carmen, San Diego?
fritzoid Premium Member over 14 years ago
^ Very nice, Coyoty…
But if they were in San Diego, wouldn’t the water be on their left? ;-)

If they were in San Diego, wouldn’t the water be brown?
