Too bad you’re not a pointer, Farley! But Michael’s expression says it all. I get the “Not me!” answer all the time, but I can usually figure out the culprit.
Who cares if she needed a new lamp?? Someone needs to take responsibility. It totally bugs the heck out of me when people make excuses like “kids are kids” or “they were only having fun” or “she needed a new lamp”. Teach them responsibility and respect, which people don’t seem to have much of these days.
How can you expect Kids to know right from wrong when every commercial on TV with a kid shows then jumping up and down on the bed as if thats acceptable behavior and the parents just smile . When I was a kid you did that and you got a speech about how expensive beds were…lol
Ugly lamp but in style for early 1980’s when everything else in the house was ugly too.
Farley is proud of himself, and he should be. (He’s so cute!)
Now she can go to the store and scream herself into buying another “frugal” lamp, instead of the one she wants, and we can all suffer through her numerous, psychotic fits for another week and a half.
One of the great mysteries and dilemmas of parenting. Things are broken and nobody knows a thing about it. And how do you discipline when you can’t identify the culprit?
Poor Farley! I agree with BigHug. He’s definitely being framed!!!
Getting the blame for something Michael and/or Lizzie did … and the poor thing can’t even defend himself against all the finger-pointing either! I hope he doesn’t get punished for it.
if Elley does her usual frugal shopping rant again she will end up buying a candle instead of a lamp then complain about having to light it by hand.. which should take up the next two weeks.

I agree with Susan . It was an ugly lamp. Whoever broke it did her a favour!
Unfortunately its an unwritten rule of the universe that ugly lamps only come in pairs so when one gets broken you are left with an orphan ugly lamp that doesn’t match the new one you bought… unless you break down and buy two new ugly lamps and toss the orphan into the attic.
Check your Grandmas attic I bet its full of ugly lamps you will inherit some day..lol
Surely I’m not the first to think this, but I think this is a case for punishment all around. Nothing too severe, of course. And only if Michael wont ‘fess-up.
Poor Farls – the buck stops there!!! It would be better if Elly yells at Jon.
(I used to jump on my parents’ bed – til I broke it and didn’t tell anybody until my dad got in it and it fell on the floor. Got my payback when I inherited the bed as an antique and had to pay a whole bunch of money to fix it properly).

Those are not paw prints, there are five fingers on those hand prints, looks like a very little hand.

Wait a minute. Lizzie isn’t pointing at Farley, she’s pointing at Michael. Somehow, I think there is enough blame to go around.
And doesn’t Farley look proud of himself?

I can almost imagine that if Farley really knew what was going on, he would be pointing at one of the dolls on the floor!

This is a CSI moment. Do some analysis on the prints. I suspect Farley is being framed!

It really doesn’t matter who’s pointing to whom; Elly is just going to scream at Jon, anyway.

Except the ugly lamps in your Grandma’s attic were Tiffany or Art Deco and now worth a fortune!
gillbillvolume1 over 14 years ago
Yes but another unwritten universal law states your not going to inherit those, they go to your cousin you hate.. you get the worthless ugly ones.
