Everbody knew that Williams and NBC have been cheerleaders of Obama the past 6 years, but now they have absolutely no credibility on anything.They didn’t even suspend or reprimands their head anchor for telling a complete lie for 12 years and a true slap in the face to every service member that really has put their life on the line for all of us.I will never watch NBC ever again.
Cronkite and Murrow were indeed strong figures for dignity and journalism. Hmm, but Murrow isn’t much loved by the “rightest right”, because he blew Joe McCarthy out of his saddle, and revealed the hypocrisy and UN – American actions of that very HUAC. (But of course they worked for CBS)
I read yor other post about Cronkite and the Tet offensive. While I have kind-of agreed with some of your posts, I cannot understand what you can possibly have against Walter Cronkite!? I watched him all my life. As another has posted, he set the bar for integrity in journalism very high, and I wonder how many of today’s jounalists/reporters even try to emulate him.
