At least it’s not whatever assault on the senses a friend of ours used to wear. Every time he’d get in the car with us, we’d have to open the windows full — even in bitter cold such as we’ve been going through this winter. Took him years of giving my wife excruciating headaches before he got the message. I think it was when I told him that if he didn’t go back in the house and wash off that stench, he’d be riding lashed to the roof of the car.
I worked for a small business which the owner declared to be “scent free”. Then he sold out and the multi-national conglomerate didn’t continue that policy. But there were so many people who were hired by the original owner to work in a scent free workplace that it didn’t change much.
I worked with the general public for 30 years and because so many wore too much perfume I had . to take early retirement When I was approaching my refinement date and I was untouchable I finally got the courage to respectvilley ask these people to back away has their scents were offensive and they would look at me as if I was the one who was being rude.

I think I once met that woman in a bookstore. I was not sure I would make it out of the store alive.

Teen-age girls are the worst. Strippers, too. Or so I hear.

And if she touched Vicky’s coat, the scent will linger. And linger. And linger.

Anyone remember “Poison”? Deadly if you were trapped in an elevator with a wearer!

Doesn’t she know that ‘abattoir’ means ‘slaughterhouse’ in French?
