Apparently Janis made a remark about the temperature of Arlo’s hands.

Wives are a major reason so much blood pressure medicine is sold.

I don’t get it.

I always wondered why my wife’s friends burst into laughter when I meet them for the first time.

My wife bought an automatic soap dispenser for the kitchen. I had my issues with it. I waved my hand below the dispenser, eventually realizing that I was supposed to hold my hand still – indeed the soap spurted out. I then held my hands still under the faucet. After about 10 seconds I remembered that it was not yet battery-powered.

Last time I read this strip. I’m tired of men all being buffoons in our society.

But she’s still saving the best stories for later.

I have overheard of comments from girls about thumb size about it was equal of a male’s"equipment " . I do not know though .

Although I’m of the female gender, I’ve often thought it unfair that comics, greeting cards, etc., use men as butts of humor, while the women get off scott free. I commented on this once in the “Pickles” comments (it’s ok for Opal to tip Earl’s chair over while he’s sitting in it, but not vice versa) and got my ears pasted back, so have tried not to criticize people’s pet strips since. As a corollary, I don’t appreciate woman-haters among the commenters who never miss an opportunity to low-rate all women in general; as a child, I had to live with a pretty abusive man, and have observed similar evils in other circumstances. I guess the bottom line is, if I don’t want to read blanket condemnations of classes of people, I shouldn’t read the comments.

Arlo and Janis have the best marriage in all of 2D. This strip just portrays the normal behavior of females to blab about rather intimate details of their husbands. It’s not at all like the insulting commercials on tv where the white male is always the dumb one. Here, Janis is often the nitwit.

They make fun of the white male because were the only ones left that won’t try to kill you if were made fun of.

Gokie5: That is the reason that a “talking woman” (show biz for female straight man) is extinct. My wife is the best talking woman not in the business, but the male-bashing meme keeps us from making a living that way.

um, for those men who are offended by this one, get a clue. Jimmy Johnson is male. Janis is the butt of the joke here, and she often is in this strip.

Wow – this is a comic strip. Everyone gets made fun of. While I don’t agree that Janis was the butt of this particular strip – she has been on many others. There is no secret anti-male agenda. Lighten up everyone! It’s a comic – making fun of and highlighting our common foibles is part of what humor is all about!

cowlick or hand shake issue, either way Janis definitely ‘shared’ some kind of woman-to-woman secret about her man, judging from the innocent eyes (not!) in last panel…

My guess: He’s commenting on the fact they just met, and yet they’ve already obviously exchanged personal information that has Robin cracking up.

This makes Janis look pretty mean. She is mean to Arlo more than she is nice. Rose and Jimbo in Rose Is Rose have a good marriage and always treat each other lovingly.

Doesn’t work.”.Sure you can and sure it does.The problem comes when you think crazy killers should be excused because they MUST be nuts..A sane person doesn’t enjoy torture and murder.Those did.Ergo, they are/were insane..The Catholic Crusades and Catholic Inquisition were natural outgrowths of their teachings, professing to be Christian while violating the teachings of Christ. They both attracted the insane.

Apparently none of the overly sensitive guys moaning here have never heard of the blond jokes — just for starters. Then there are the feminist jokes, the lesbian jokes, the female teacher jokes, secretary jokes, and I can go on if anyone wants me to….
