The speech has punch, but there are definitely holes in the actual strategy.

They don’t know what a real cruller is much less bake them in this part of VA. That’s diabolical!

Is it just me? Or is “their” a problem with the grammar in this strip? Perhaps “there” grammar on the alien planet is different from ours?

It’s (it is) cool, dr.mel. As we all learn, spell-checks don’t catch everything.

And yet again, Dirk’s cape frees itself from gravity and flows to augment his emotion when needed. Nice the way it does that…

Nope, wrloftis, you caught him, too. “Their” is wrong, and Mr Rickard should be embarrassed.

Every time I doubt that the functional illiteracy rate of adults in America is 20%, I see something like this. Sad.

well, since they’re from another planet that could be the way they spell ‘there’ there. So , before they disembowel and de-spleen us, we should inform them that on this planet , we say’ there’ in this context and not ‘their’. (and not ‘they’re’ either

There shouldn’t be any “their” there.

But there is a “their” there that shouldn’t be there. So there! And are those really donuts, or are they the little donut people?

Funny, on my computer it is “There”. Think it was corrected after y’all called attention to it?

After seeing Tim’s post, I would guess that he corrected it. I think he should keep an eye on Dr. Mel!

I haven’t seen any correction to this cartoon yet, but cheer up, everyone - you’d be surprised how many cartoonists let typos like this get past them.

(It just might have to do with ENFPs being - so I suspect - disproportionately represented in the trade. Not a whole lot of grammatical precision among us; “close enough for government work” was probably invented by one of that ilk.)

Maybe they said “they” would be snacks, referring to the Doughnut People…after all, they (the villains) are evil…
