I’ve not gotten the paper in years… and that’s a good thing. The Internet is my newspaper! Now that I think about it, how else can you make papier-mâché crafts without newspaper?
I would happily subscribe to my newspaper. I’ve read newspapers all over the world, and still think mine (Sarasota Herald-tribune) is the best. However my failing sight has forced me to give it up, because I can’t enlarge the font in order to be able to read it.Now I read my daily news online, but not by choice, but because I CAN ENLARGE THE FONT...Never take your blessings for granted!
i’m with earl. everything bad is going to happen to the earth, and to people, and to _________________ (fill in the blank) in the next 5 billion years so ‘why bother’ with anything today!!-at least that seems to be what politicians, scientists, greenies, labor unions, preachers, ‘journalists’ (and i use that word very lightly), news programs (and i use that title very lightly), internet bloggers, world leaders, etc. etc. say/write!!-oh wait – maybe if all the creatures on planet earth will quit passing gas we can all still be around in 5 million years. rofl-like i said i’m with earl!!!!
Actually the Universe isn’t going to end for a long, long, long time. Neither will our Galaxy, but the Sun will burn out in 4 or 5 Billion years. That will be a problem for us on Earth as it turns into a Red Giant star… Hopefully we’ll have left this planet long before that happens.

I wonder; would we still get our comics if there were no newspapers to carry them?

keep the papers going. without them you net people will have no actual news based in reality and journalism. you’re forewarned.

Their readership isn’t dying off. They’re just getting tired of the newspaper’s sensationalism.

Nabu, there is so little left of the OREGONIAN that it’s pretty much worthless, though it’s been that way for a loooooong time. My local rag, too.
