Rip Haywire by Dan Thompson for March 13, 2015
Transcript:
Rip Haywire: Breezy, where can I get a job that pays well and allows me to pummel goons? Breezy: I'm sure if you ask Uncle Spur nicely, he could find something for you. Rip Haywire: I want the sheriff's job back, Spur. Pronto. Spur: Can't do it. Boy, unless you get elected. But there is one department that needs help. Rip Haywire: Sweet! Spur: You don't start 'em, Rip. You put 'em out. Rip Haywire: Oh.

OK, now he has to be elected to be sheriff. Spur knows how to twist things. Oh well, I’m sure Dan has a plan for Rip to come across some evil goons in the fire dept.

The only way Rip is going to put out fires will be to blow them out with C-4.

A fireman? Rip Haywire? I don’t think so! … there is an old saying if you love what you do it is not work. Here on our farm I have to work pretty darn hard sometimes, but man, oh man do I love this place ……. The only thing Rip really likes is putting knots on bad guys heads.…Yesterday Kali39 said that Rip would make a good bouncer at you know who’s bar. Now, if Breezy would go along with that idea that would make a good fit and just may pay the bills...just sayen

It takes a strong man to KA-Pummel fires with those water hoses. And arsonists could use a KA-Pummeling, too.

Do a good job, Rip, and maybe they’ll let you keep your very own axe.

You are going to be a great Daddy Rip, but I feel you may end up having to have your son trained to be another soldier of fortune as he will never make it to college on your current income, unless you want him saddled with student loans that take decades to pay off.

Does this mean he can’t bring his flamethrower to work?
