Greyhounds are lovely dogs, but they do have some quirks you may not like, gothic_beauty.
For instance, if they are off-leash and spot any other animal, they will give chase until they lose sight of it or drop from exhaustion. They can end up miles from home, and have no ability to find their way back! You have to run them in an enclosed field or you may lose them forever, very sad but true…
Another oddity I’d heard was that they’re relatively “potty shy” and need some sort of privacy. We were looking at adopting, but finally settled on mother and daughter Labradors.

We know a couple who has two rescue greyhounds (former racers). No problem taking their pics at all — they’re couch potatoes.
