Jimbo is a truly supportive hubby, even to the point of giving his wife a lift. (Completely the opposite of the couple in For Better or For Worse, refreshingly so…)

Okay Rose, how about you look at it like this: 1) you have running water, 2) you can afford to have a healthy pet cat, 3) you live on a street so quiet you can hear a dog barking up the block, 4) you can afford to go grocery shopping and have plenty of food to eat. Quit bitching about your “daily horrors” and think about just how blessed your life really is. Half the people on this planet would trade places with you in a heartbeat.

Duffer, I don’t think Rose was complaining, she was just reporting on what happened. She is not a complainer and seems to enjoy her life and family very much.

It had been years since I read this. The local paper here doesn’t carry it. One day I went through gocomics list & looked up some of the strips I remembered from when I was younger. The main thing I remembered about “Rose is Rose” is the husband trying to “fatten up” Rose so she’d look more like his mom.
