    Maybe your unskilled jobs have a big line up, but get yourself trained in a in-demand field, and you can cherry pick from multiple jobs.

    I’m looking at my 12th year in retirement so I’m not familiar with the overall job market. But it strikes me that a career based on knowing how things work and keeping them working will always be in demand. Computer Geeks, Welders, Auto Techs, Engine Mechanics and the like.

    And this answers the observation about all the computers facing one way in one drawing and being back to back in another — we just didn’t see the scope of Carmen’s misery.

    I remember when cubicles were considered ultimate degradation. Now our standards have been lowered to the point where they’re treated as luxuries?.I fear something similar has been happening in our “private” lives.
